How to Create Dependent fields Using Select Box Data

You can create a dependency between two fields on an Identity Manager task screen. The following process describes the steps that you must follow to create dependency between two fields:

1. Create a field that uses an XML file to populate the options.

   For example, you can create a field 'State' which takes multiple values as input. Each option in 'State' corresponds to an element or a child element in the Select Box Data XML file. Each of the element in 'State' further has 'City' as child elements.

2. Create another field which is populated based on the option that you have selected in Step 1.

   For example, 'City' are also populated from the same XML file as 'State', and are the child elements of the elements used in 'State'.
