Create Group

Create Group creates a group in the current organization. When you use this task, you can:

• Provide profile information
• Specify the organization in which to create the group
• Assign administrators and static members by selecting from a list of users who exist in the current organization

You see the following tabs when you perform this task:

• Members--Adds static members to the group. You select members whose profiles exist in organizations where you have the Modify Group task.
• Administrators--Adds administrators for the group. You select group administrators whose profiles exist in organizations where you have the Modify Group task.

  On the Administrators tab, you can specify users and groups as administrators. If you specify a group, administrators of that group will be administrators of the group you are modifying. Members of the group you specify will not have privileges to manage the group you are creating.

Note: The Dynamic Group Query field is not included in the Create Group task or other group tasks even if this field exists in the directory.xml for a group. You include Dynamic Group Query field in the task by editing the associated profile screen.
