Explore and Correlate Definition Tasks

These tasks explore the objects in an endpoint, correlate the accounts on an endpoint with global users, or create global users. These functions perform the following actions:

• Explore finds the objects in a registered endpoint and stores instances of them in the Provisioning Directory.
• Correlate associates every account on an endpoint to an existing global user or creates global users for each explored account that does not have a global user defined. Correlating is optional, but strongly recommended.
• Updates user information each previously explored account.
