The scheduled task process queues all users that meet the search criteria in the User_Batch table. Once the scheduled task is run against a user, the user is removed from the User_Batch table. This queue mechanism provides for a recovery feature that runs automatically every 9 minutes. If a scheduled task is prematurely stopped before it runs through all matched users, the recovery feature restarts the process where it left off in the table.
If want to stop an existing batch sent by Scheduled Tasks, you can remove the relevant entries from the User_Batch table.
