Specify the Source for a Multi-Valued Attribute
Using the Create Account Screen task, you can specify the source for a multi-valued attribute. If the Value Source is set to Provisioning Server and your attribute is multi-valued, such as Active Directory groups taken from the target Active Directory system, you need to perform additional configuration.
To specify the source for a multi-valued attribute
- Open the Option Pack database.
- In the IDF_AdminObjects table, add a new row.
- Provide the attribute information in the new row. Use the following Active Directory Groups attribute as an example:
- Name=ADGroups—the name of the attribute you need to populate. This is the attribute name you specified when you acquired the endpoint type.
- ObjectClass=eTADSGroup—the name of the object as it appears in the Provisioning Directory.
- RealNameAttribute=eTADSdistinguishedName—the physical name of the attribute.
- DisplayNameAttr=eTADSGroupName—the name to be displayed in the account management screen.
- Namespace=ActiveDirectory—the endpoint type.
- Follow the above procedure for all other multi-valued attributes, such as UNIX group or MSSQL roles.
